f you asked me a couple of weeks ago whether I would be wearing a playsuit this summer. I would have said no. Me? Never? But as it is I took a risk in Next one Saturday and somehow came home with a brand, spanking new playsuit.

Firstly it wasn’t even in the tall section so my hopes were not high at all but somehow it was long enough in the body, the pattern was cute and here we have it! The only downside of course is that it is a bit of a bother to get it off for bathroom breaks but other than that I see a great future for myself and this playsuit.

My first thought of course was the beach. What better to wear over your swimming costume than a beach styled onesie? talk about comfort! Then of course I extended it to time by the pool, garden parties? Then finally to date nights, the trifecta! The above I think will make a great date night outfit with the boy. Until that time however I have been wearing it around the house like PJ’s because that of course is totally normal!

Has anyone else found a great long bodied playsuit in the regular section? If so link it to me so we can share the love!

Polkadot, Polkadot, Polkadot!!!!!

Who doesn’t love afew polkadots on their clothes? I can tell you who, me!! These shorts of course are no exception. I literally wore these all last summer, everyday of the weekend these were what i pulled on. Until this week however its never really been hot enough during the weekend to pull them out which has been a shame!
But thankfully the weather gods gave us some good weather a couple of weeks back and this was the result! Hallelujah!!

We’ve all been there, its the moment you find yourself copying old Carrie Bradshaw outfits. I adored Carries similar look in the Sex and The City film so much that I have been on the look out for a long enough top to pair with my flippy £1 skirt from last year.

I just think it looks so fun to just see the bottom of a pleated skirt and it helps avoid it looking too much like I’m just wearing a school uniform!

Skirts and Carrie Bradshaw

Hello Legs.

So its supposidly summer which can mean only one thing. Getting those old legs out thats what. Over on wordpress I was asked about how to style this summers styled shorts at first I was quite frankly, petrified I mean me? shorts? agh!

But rather than running to hills I thought, “I know, I’ll wear it with something flowing that will work!” Well, it didn’t work out quite as great as I had planned surprisingly so here it is, shorts with a blazer and fitted tee, the only way to wear shorts this summer!

Shoes Must.
There are so many things in fashion that someone can turn to us and say, “You don’t need that” you look at them firstly of course with pure hate, I mean, how dare you? But then of course the reality sets in. Do I really need another pair of jeans? No, but I want them … But then we have shoes which to me are a totally different kettle of fish!
For example in winter you need a waterproof pair, you need the snow safe pair, the trecking pair, the running … you get the point. But then we have summer when we have an entirely different set of priorities! You need them to be cool for the hot days, smart for work, beach appropriate, date night appropriate you name it, you need it. Thats why I always tell Josh, shoes are not a choice, they’re a must and having as many pairs as possible is a totally viable decision. Right?

The on going question about blogging in summer? How do I make my outfits interesting? The reality is for the most part I wear dresses, cropped jeans and harem pants for the majority of the summer season which is great for the day to day but are the outfits that interesting?
The answer is quite obviously no but I’m willing to try. I know I’ll never be as amazing as Leandra Medine from The Man Repeller (man does that woman know what makes an interesting outfit!) but I’d so like to make my summer outfits as interesting as my autumn/winter ones!
What would you suggest for keeping your summer wardrobe interesting? Is there anything you’d like me to try styling? Any summer trends your not sure about? Drop me a comment or an email! and lets see if summer 2014 can be that little bit more exciting!

I hate to share these before the blog post but honestly when you are wearing the dream dress for only £7.99 who wouldn’t want to shout about it? Exactly. I love this dress, its an H&M basics number that has just made my summer dreams come true in ok, maybe three different colours!

The Case of the Bob and the all in one black get up.
All I have been drawn to the last two weeks have been comfys. I wanna wear my leggings every weekend with just a tee shirt and have a cuddle with the boy. But as I have done every weekend that I have felt like this I instead get up, pull on jeans, a dress, a skirt and tell myself to get a grip! See you’ve already read but I tried to give these things up! This sunday however I decided not to give them up all the time.
After all there will be times when you do need a pair of leggings in your life! This last sunday was the day for me. We went for a short walk (it involved iced coffee) bought a new movie (we bought Netflix to stop this - it hasn’t helped!) and pretty much laid on the couch all day, it was great.
Those are the days for leggings my friends, the lounging inside days … Ok and Iced coffee runs!

When the fantastic Marketplace Raise.com asked me to share my winter to spring closet swap ideas I think I literally sat there for forever a day wondering how do I swap over wardrobes, do I even do that? and then I realised there are so many ways in which I customise my winter/autumn wardrobe for spring. To pull me through from the cold weather and into the warmer sunshine here are my ways of using your exsisting clothes in all seasons to avoid buying everything new!
